As it was cooler and overcast this morning I took a few photos of newly opened flowers in the front garden. The day lilies have started flowering, and by coincidence match beautifully with the rudbeckias either side of them:

I also managed to get this close-up of a rudbeckia with a very relaxed ladybird sitting on it:
The cosmos have been in flower for a week or so and some are starting to go over, but really they’re just getting going.
And after their shaky start, the asters are starting to open.
Which is a bit of a relief.
We’ve had quite a few yellow tomatoes this week, and they are delicious but very small. Same for the strawberries. Many more tomatoes to come, the red ones look like being much bigger than the yellow but they aren’t ripening yet.
