Now showing

A few new pictures. We might do some bits and bobs this weekend… or we might not. We’ll see how we feel. Perhaps a bargain hunt at the garden centre might be in order.

The surviving hollyhock has started flowering:

And in close-up:

Other than it being a double flowered variety I can’t remember anything else about it, but I’ll definitely be looking out for more next year.

The cosmos are flowering well – in pink, white and a deep cerise:

The asters are looking lovely:

In assorted shades:

One of the few surviving geums from the herbaceous perennials I bought by mail order:

And the dark purply red scabious whose name I have completely forgotten, but which cost all of £3 from the reduced shelf:

And of course these little guys are going strong and will continue to do so for a while yet:

Happy gardening!

  1. Your double bloom hollyhocks are simply gorgeous! They look like peonies, don’t you think?

  2. Every things looking good. I really like that last Rudbeckia picture.
