Snow day

Looking out of the window this morning, I was grateful to be having a day off. Yesterday was cold but bright, and we ventured out for a treat at one of our favourite places (I can recommend afternoon tea at the Beckworth Emporium). Technically it was a very belated wedding anniversary treat; J was working away from home in July and we had no opportunity to go to Beckworth other than at weekends, when you can wait half an hour or more for a table. Yesterday it was still bustling but we were seated straight away.

In the evening we realised it was snowing, and the snow has hung around long enough for some photo opportunities. A few of snow on leaves:

I still need a decent macro lens, but some of these might well make it on to Christmas cards.
