We spent this morning in the garden, just tidying up a bit – I did some weeding at the front, while J cut the grass and repainted the patio furniture. All in all it’s not looking too bad, and I took the chance to snap a few pictures to give you a flavour of what’s flowering now. A few things were holding out on me earlier in the week!
The peony has started flowering and we have two lovely blooms open:
The cistus has started to flower as well, and also has two flowers open today. I love these flowers, with their petals like crumpled tissue paper, and there are many buds on the plant so many more to look forward to.
The azalea continues to look gorgeous.
And the centaurea is hitting its stride.
Finally, I loved the look of these little winter violets – still flowering away happily – together with the electric blue of the ceanothus, in the sunshine.
