Sunday lunch

There’s a local squirrel, fairly cheeky but until now he (or indeed, she) has stayed on the boundaries of our garden. We’ve often seen him running along the fence and up the lime tree at the bottom of the garden but never actually in our garden… until now, and he’s done it in style, having a good go at the peanuts on the bird feeder – so, safe to say it’s not squirrel proof! Obviously just because we’ve never caught him at it doesn’t mean he’s never tried it before, and he did seem to have his technique worked out. A few minutes of peanut-picking, followed by a break on the top of the feeder, before heading back down to eat again. The birds weren’t too happy, but they had to wait their turn.

Thanks for lunch, see ya!

Not great photos as I was taking them through the window so as not to disturb anyone. The squirrel was last spotted sitting in the lime tree eating an apple.

There is no such thing as squirrel proof. We might as well sit back and enjoy the cuteness, then refill the feeders for the birds afterwards 😉
